A platform built to close the mentorship gap — structured discovery, seamless booking, and measurable growth for both mentors and mentees at scale.
End-to-end design process from initial research through to tested prototypes — covering every phase of the product design lifecycle.
Mentorship is deeply personal — the "right" match depends on industry, seniority, communication style, and even personality. Existing solutions were either too transactional (book a 30-min call) or too informal (find someone on LinkedIn). Neither created lasting, measurable relationships.
Secondary research validated the market opportunity and informed our problem framing — the data made the case for a structured, long-term platform over a simple booking tool.
"The problem isn't motivation — it's access. People want growth but can't find the right person to grow with."
A streamlined 5-step flow — browse → filter → view profile → book → connect. Every screen was tested for cognitive load and reduced to essential actions only.
The final design delivers a warm, trust-first experience — where finding and committing to the right mentor feels natural, not transactional.
I focused heavily on the mentee journey and not enough on mentor motivation. Mentors are the supply-side of a two-sided marketplace — without designing for their experience and incentives first, adoption would likely stall. In a V2, I'd design the mentor onboarding and dashboard before touching the discovery flow.
